Healing begins with a safe, honest conversation - and I am here to walk that path with you. I am Udeme Okono, a Psychotherapist and Mental Health Counsellor with over eleven years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, PTSD, suicidal ideation, trauma, grief, low self-worth, and life transitions. My practice is rooted in empathy, evidence-based techniques, and a deep commitment to helping people feel seen, safe, and whole. Over the years, I’ve worked at the forefront of suicide awareness, prevention, rescue, and rehabilitation in Nigeria. Through my work with individuals, communities, and organizations, I’ve helped people navigate emotional crises and reclaim their sense of self, meaning, and direction. My therapeutic approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, tailored to your unique story and cultural context. I believe therapy should not only treat symptoms, but empower you with tools to build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and live more fully and freely. My educational and professional certifications span King’s College London, the University of Reading, University of Uyo, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, among others, focusing on mental health, counselling, education, and climate change. I am an international member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association, and the Counselling Association of Nigeria. Whether you're feeling emotionally stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, I’m here to offer a calm, non-judgmental, and supportive space where healing and transformation unfolds.
