Therapy by video, voice or chat
Users choose a licensed, verified Nigerian therapist, book a time and pay per session. A standard session is 60 minutes. Each therapist sets their own rate, from ₦4,000 a session.
Couples sessions
Therapists who take couples set a separate couples price, shown on their profile before booking.
Group therapy
Circles of up to twelve people, led by a licensed therapist and meeting on video every week or every two weeks.
Free wellness tools
A mood tracker, a journal, guided meditations, breathing exercises and self-assessments in the app.
Mytherapist.ng Prime
An optional membership from ₦1,000 a month. It removes reschedule and cancellation fees and includes free 30-minute intro sessions.
Student rates
Verified students pay a therapist’s student rate where the therapist offers one. Verification is free and lasts 12 months.
Covered by employers and HMOs
Employers, HMOs, universities and community groups can pay for their people’s sessions, which then cost the user nothing.
Sessions in Nigerian languages
Besides English, therapists hold sessions in languages including Yoruba, Nigerian Pidgin, Igbo and Hausa.
Safety, privacy and vetting

Every therapist is reviewed by a person
Therapists apply, upload proof of each degree, licence or certification, and are checked by the Mytherapist.ng team before users can find or book them. Checked qualifications show a verified badge.
Sessions stay between user and therapist
Nobody at Mytherapist.ng joins, watches or listens to a session. Screenshots are blocked on the session and chat screens, and support staff cannot read a user’s journal or mood entries.
Covered care stays confidential
When an employer or HMO pays, the session is billed to their plan. What is said in the session stays between the user and the therapist.
Registered data controller
Mytherapist.ng Mental Healthcare Solutions Limited is registered with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC/DCP/14796). The privacy policy says it does not sell users’ personal information.
For adults, and not an emergency service
The service is for people aged 18 and over. Sessions are booked in advance; anyone in danger in Nigeria should call 112, or 767 in Lagos.
Health content is labelled honestly
Guides awaiting clinical review say so on the page, and no reviewer is named until a review has happened. Self-assessments are screening tools, not diagnoses.
