Every member agrees to the same three lines before joining:

  • What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
  • Members use a first name or an alias, and let others do the same.
  • No recording or screenshots. The app does not record either.

Not the right fit if

You are in crisis right now. When you join, if you answer that you might be in crisis, we connect you to one-to-one support first and nothing is charged. A circle adds to one-to-one therapy; it does not replace it. In an emergency, see helplines in Nigeria.

How to join

  1. Create your Mytherapist.ng account

Sign up on the web app in a minute, or download the app for iPhone or Android. Joining a circle needs an account because the circle needs to know who is in the room.

  2. Pick a circle

Its page shows who leads it, what it is for, when it meets and what a month costs. Read the description to see who it is for.

  3. Answer two quick questions

Whether you have had therapy before, and how things are right now. Only the therapist who leads the circle sees your answers.

  4. Choose your name and pay for the first block

Pick the first name or alias the circle will see, accept the circle agreement, and pay for your first month from your wallet or by card. Then the dates go into your sessions.
