We are excited to announce the launch of our new Student Discount Program on the Mytherapist.ng app! At Mytherapist.ng, we understand the unique challenges students face, from academic pressures to social and personal stress. To support students in maintaining their mental well-being, we are offering a special discount program tailored just for you.
Program Details:
Eligibility:
- The Student Discount Program is available to all students currently enrolled in a recognized educational institution in Nigeria.
- To qualify, students must verify their student status through their account settings.
Discount Offer:
- Verified students pay a therapist’s student rate wherever the therapist offers one. Each therapist decides whether to offer a student rate and sets it, and it shows on their profile before you book.
- Student rates apply to individual sessions. They don’t apply to couples sessions or to group therapy.
How to Apply:
- Sign up or log in: If you are new to Mytherapist.ng, download the app and create an account. If you already have one, log in.
- Verify your student status: Open the Profile tab and tap Student discount. If your school email ends in .edu.ng, .edu or .university, choose “Verify with your student email” and type in the code we send; you’re verified straight away. No school email? Upload a student ID, admission letter or school-fees receipt instead, and it’s reviewed within a few days.
- Book at the student rate: Once you’re verified, the student price shows on the profile of every therapist who offers one. There’s no code to enter at checkout.
Why Join the Student Discount Program?
- Affordable Mental Health Support: We aim to make therapy sessions more affordable for students, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality mental health care.
- Support During Critical Times: College and university life can be stressful. Our program ensures that you have the necessary support to navigate these challenging times.
- Confidential and Secure: Mytherapist.ng prioritizes your privacy and security, providing a safe space for you to seek help.
FAQs:
- How long does it take to verify my student status?
- With a school email ending in .edu.ng, .edu or .university, verification is instant. A document upload is reviewed within a few days, and the app shows your status once it changes.
- Does the student rate apply to group therapy?
- No. Student rates apply to individual sessions only. Group therapy is priced lower to begin with, from ₦5,000 a month, and Prime members pay 20% less for every block.
- How long does student status last?
- 12 months. After that, verify again to keep getting student rates.
