Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Circle
About this circle
A therapist-led group for adults recovering from emotionally harmful, controlling, or manipulative relationships. Members will learn to understand unhealthy relationship patterns, rebuild self-trust, manage emotional triggers, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with their sense of self. The circle offers a confidential, supportive space for healing and growth through guided therapeutic exercises and shared learning. Clinical Note: Confidentiality: All participants are expected to maintain the privacy of other group members and not share identifying information, personal stories, screenshots, or recordings outside the group. However, confidentiality cannot be absolutely guaranteed because other participants are not bound by the same professional obligations as the facilitator. Confidentiality may also be limited where disclosure is required by law or necessary to address serious safety concerns, in accordance with applicable professional and legal standards. Recording sessions is prohibited. Pre-Admission Screening: Each prospective member will undergo an individual screening to assess presenting concerns, group suitability, emotional stability, current safety risks, and expectations. Individuals requiring a different or higher level of care may be referred for individual therapy or appropriate specialist support before admission. Scope of Care: This group supports recovery from emotionally harmful, controlling, or manipulative relationship experiences. The therapeutic focus is on participants’ emotional wellbeing, relationship patterns, boundaries, self-trust, and recovery. The group does not diagnose absent partners or determine whether another person has narcissistic personality disorder. The term narcissistic abuse describes the focus of the group and does not constitute a diagnosis of any third party. Participation is subject to informed consent, agreement to group rules, and the facilitator’s assessment of suitability.

Who leads it
Privacy
Every member agrees to the same three lines before joining:
- What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
- Members use a first name or an alias, and let others do the same.
- No recording or screenshots. The app does not record either.
Not the right fit if
You are in crisis right now. When you join, if you answer that you might be in crisis, we connect you to one-to-one support first and nothing is charged. A circle adds to one-to-one therapy; it does not replace it. In an emergency, see helplines in Nigeria.
How to join
Create your Mytherapist.ng account
Sign up on the web app in a minute, or download the app for iPhone or Android. Joining a circle needs an account because the circle needs to know who is in the room.
Pick a circle
Its page shows who leads it, what it is for, when it meets and what a month costs. Read the description to see who it is for.
Answer two quick questions
Whether you have had therapy before, and how things are right now. Only the therapist who leads the circle sees your answers.
Choose your name and pay for the first block
Pick the first name or alias the circle will see, accept the circle agreement, and pay for your first month from your wallet or by card. Then the dates go into your sessions.
