Uba Dennis

Dr. Dennis is a licensed Clinical psychologist, researcher and therapist for over 12 years. He specializes in behavioral and psychological problems associated with mental health development and management. Dr. Dennis is a BMJ Leader for Africa, and a member of International and national associations such as, the American Psychological Association (APA), Nigerian Psychological Association and Nigerian Association of Clinical Psychologists (NACP), Society of Personality and Social Psychology (SpSp), Cambridge Scholars, International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), and PsychLab, Grenoble, France amongst others. Dennis Uba had won several international and local research grants from CODESRIA and TETFUND as well as other awards including the most distinguished Psychology student of the class of 2007, Award of recognition from Journal of Indian Psychology for the article: Curious Case of Medical Negligence among others. Dr. Dennis Uba’s area of clinical specialty is adolescent and adult mental health and substance use disorder. He also conducts research in adult psychiatry problems, insight and preventive medicine, clinical leadership, sleep disorders, left handedness, as well as medical tourism. Dennis Uba currently offers psychological therapies and consultation for a number of international psychological and rehabilitation organizations such as, Senami Counselling and Psychotherapy Services in Smithfield, Southern Australia, Amnesty International and Slum2School Africa. Dr. Dennis Uba, is currently an Assistant Professor and Faculty member of the FMSS, Department of Psychology, Baze University, Abuja.
