Take subscribers: open a weekly hour

Subscriptions are by invitation. Accept, open hours, what you're paid, a week off, cancelling a session, closing an hour and ending a subscription.

A subscriber keeps one hour with you every week and pays a monthly price for four sessions. You open the hours you want to keep for subscribers; a user who has already had a session with you takes one, and their sessions appear in your schedule, already accepted, one a week. One-time booking carries on around them.

Who can take subscribers

Subscriptions are by invitation for now. Before we invite you, we look at:

  • at least 20 completed sessions;
  • a completion rate of 95% or more. Sessions you cancelled or didn't attend count against you; a client's no-show doesn't;
  • punctuality: no more than 2 minutes late on average over your last ten sessions, counting from when you joined or sent your first message;
  • no active strikes, and an account in good standing;
  • a plan with a monthly subscription price.

Subscribers, in the Caregiver App or the partner dashboard, shows where you stand on each. When you're invited you get an email and a notice in the app; read the details and tap Accept. You can decline, and we may invite you again later.

Opening an hour

  1. Open Subscribers and tap Open an hour.
  2. Pick a weekday and a start time on the hour, and video or audio. Sessions are 60 minutes.
  3. The hour is held out of your one-time calendar from that moment, so a subscriber can always have it.

You can hold up to 10 hours open, and no more than half the hours you're available each week, so one-time clients can still find you. See Set your availability.

Once an hour is taken, the subscriber's four sessions arrive in your schedule already accepted. You don't accept each one, and there's no confirmation countdown.

What you're paid

  • The monthly price is set by your plan, not by your one-time session price, and it's split four ways across the month's sessions. Your usual commission applies, and each session pays when it completes, like any other. See Earnings and commission.
  • If you joined the call or sent a message within 15 minutes of the start and the client never came, the session is marked missed and you're paid for the hour you kept.
  • If you didn't join, you aren't paid for it. The session moves to the end of the subscriber's month and counts against your completion rate.

Taking a week off

With at least 7 days' notice, open the hour under Subscribers and choose Take a week off. The session moves to the end of the subscriber's month and doesn't count against you. You can take up to four weeks off per hour in a year. With less notice, cancel the session instead; that counts as a cancellation.

Cancelling one session

Open the session under Subscribers and choose Cancel a session. It moves to the end of the subscriber's month, and it counts as your cancellation. After two in one month, the subscriber can end their subscription at once and have the rest refunded, so use it sparingly.

Closing an hour

  • An open hour nobody has taken closes at once and goes back to your one-time availability.
  • A taken hour keeps running until the subscriber's paid month is finished; the subscription ends after it. The subscriber is told and offered a switch to another therapist.

Ending a subscription

For a clinical or safety reason you can end a subscription immediately with End subscription. The sessions the subscriber hasn't had are refunded to them. If there's a safety concern, tell support as well. See Get support as a therapist.

When a subscriber stops

  • A subscriber who cancels stops at the end of the month they've paid for; those sessions still happen.
  • A subscriber who switches to another therapist takes the rest of their month with them, and your hour opens again. We tell you either way.

Keep the hour as reliable as you'd want a client to be. Subscribers chose a fixed time because it's fixed.
