8 licensed therapists for ADHD and neurodevelopmental conditions
Licensed therapists for adults who suspect or have ADHD or autism, and for parents and carers of children with a neurodevelopmental condition. Sessions by video, voice or chat.
Focused support
ADHD in adults looks like a life of unfinished things: missed deadlines despite real ability, a desk and a mind full of open tabs, impulsive spending, and laziness you have been punished for since primary school. Autism in adults can look like exhaustion after every social event, sensory overload in Lagos noise, and a lifetime of masking. In Nigeria most people were never assessed as children, so they reach adulthood with a diagnosis of stubborn or not serious. The therapists here know these conditions and how they hide.
Sessions are inside the Mytherapist.ng app, by video, voice or chat, and you book and pay in the app. The therapists here do not prescribe. If you want medication for ADHD, a psychiatrist has to assess you, and your therapist can tell you how to go about that and keep working with you on the skills side.
This page suits adults who suspect they have ADHD or autism and want to understand themselves, adults already diagnosed who want practical help with focus, organisation, work and relationships, and parents or carers of a child with ADHD, autism or a learning difficulty who need strategies and support for themselves. Mytherapist.ng is for adults aged 18 and over, so sessions about a child are held with the parent.
A first session covers your history from school onward, what is hardest right now, and what you want help with. Clinical psychologists can carry out a formal assessment; other therapists focus on coaching and therapy. Check the profile or ask. Browse the therapists below to compare backgrounds and rates.
Each therapist below is licensed and verified. Read their background and rates, then book by video, voice or chat.

Good to know
Clinical psychologists can carry out ADHD assessments; check the profile or ask when you book whether the therapist offers one. A formal diagnosis that leads to medication needs a psychiatrist, and your therapist can point you to one. Many adults find that understanding their ADHD and learning strategies changes their lives even before any formal diagnosis.
Yes. Therapy and coaching for ADHD focus on systems that work with your brain, not against it: planning, starting tasks, managing time, handling impulsivity and repairing the self-esteem that years of being told to try harder damaged. Many people use therapy alone; others combine it with medication from a psychiatrist.
A therapist can help you explore whether autism fits, understand your sensory and social needs, reduce the exhaustion of masking, and handle anxiety and burnout, which often come with it. Read our post on autism in adults for what an assessment involves.
Yes, through you. Mytherapist.ng is for adults aged 18 and over, so sessions are with the parent or carer. Therapists here help you understand the condition, manage behaviour and school, find the right services in Nigeria, and look after your own wellbeing while you do it.
Yes, with one limit. What you tell your therapist stays between you. The exception is a risk to life: if your therapist believes there's a real and immediate risk of serious harm to you or to someone else, including a child, they may need to act on it. That can mean contacting emergency services or someone who can reach you. They'll tell you when they're doing this, wherever it's safe to.
Each therapist sets their own rate, from ₦5,000 a session. Assessments may be priced separately; ask the therapist. Some therapists offer a student rate or a free first consultation.
