4 licensed therapists for sexual health and gender
Licensed therapists for the things nobody talks about: desire that has gone, performance anxiety, pain, compulsive porn use, mismatched libido in a marriage, and questions about sexuality or gender. Sessions by video, voice or chat.
Focused support
Sex is one of the last things Nigerians will raise with a professional, which is why so much of it goes untreated: erectile difficulties that are really anxiety, a wife who has never enjoyed sex and thinks that is normal, pain that makes intimacy something to dread, porn use that has become compulsive, a marriage where one partner wants sex and the other avoids it, or the quieter, heavier questions about who you are attracted to or whether the gender you were raised in fits. These are mental health matters, and the therapists here treat them without embarrassment.
Sessions happen inside the Mytherapist.ng app, by video, voice or chat. Chat and voice exist for exactly this kind of conversation, where saying it to a face is too much at first. You book and pay in the app, and nobody else is told. Couples can attend together for sexual problems inside a relationship.
This page suits men and women with difficulties in desire, arousal, performance or pain, couples whose sex life has stalled, people worried about their porn or sexual behaviour, people living with HIV or after a sexual assault, and anyone exploring their sexuality or gender identity who wants a therapist who will not judge. For specifically LGBTQ-affirming therapists, see our dedicated page. The therapists here do not prescribe medication; if a physical cause needs ruling out, they will ask you to see a doctor and work alongside that.
A first session covers the problem in plain terms, when it started, what is going on in your relationship and your health, and what you want to be different. You decide how much to share and how fast. Browse the therapists below to compare backgrounds and rates.
Each therapist below is licensed and verified. Read their background and rates, then book by video, voice or chat.

Good to know
Yes, in the talking sense. Sex therapy is psychotherapy focused on sexual difficulties. Nothing physical happens in a session; you talk, understand what is driving the problem, and get exercises to try at home, alone or with your partner, between sessions.
Often, yes. When erections work alone but not with a partner, or when the problem started after a stressful event, anxiety is usually driving it, and therapy treats that directly. If erections have stopped in every situation, a doctor should check for physical causes first. Our post on erectile difficulty and mental health explains the difference.
No. The therapists here list sexual health and gender issues as a specialty, which means they expect these conversations. If you want a therapist who is specifically LGBTQ-affirming, our LGBTQ-affirming page lists them.
Yes. Many sexual problems live between two people, not in one, and couples sessions work well for mismatched desire, avoidance and recovery after infidelity. Check which therapists see couples on their profile.
Yes, with one limit. What you tell your therapist stays between you. The exception is a risk to life: if your therapist believes there's a real and immediate risk of serious harm to you or to someone else, including a child, they may need to act on it. That can mean contacting emergency services or someone who can reach you. They'll tell you when they're doing this, wherever it's safe to. That covers your sexuality, your behaviour and your health status.
Each therapist sets their own rate, from ₦7,500 a session. Some therapists offer a student rate or a free first consultation, and it shows on their profile below.
