Screenshots are blocked on purpose on the session and chat screens in the Mytherapist.ng app. It's a privacy protection for confidential therapy content. If a screenshot comes out blank or doesn't save, nothing is wrong with your phone or the app.
Why
What you and your therapist say to each other is confidential. Blocking screenshots on those screens means the content of a session or a chat can't be captured from the app.
Which screens
- The session call screen, video or voice.
- The session chat.
The block is specific to these screens.
If you want to keep something from a session
- Mytherapist.ng doesn't keep a transcript of your chat and can't send one to you.
- Write down what you want to remember after the session.
- The practical details of your booking (date, time, therapist) are always in the Appointments list on the Therapy tab.
If you ever feel a message from your therapist was inappropriate, you don't need a screenshot to raise it. Open Settings → Chat with Support in the app and describe what was said and when. A person replies Mon–Sat, 9am–5pm WAT.
