Session reminders

For accepted sessions you get a morning reminder, then alerts 30 and 10 minutes before, by push and email.

For sessions your therapist has accepted, Mytherapist.ng sends reminders by push notification and email: one on the morning of the session, then 30 minutes and 10 minutes before the start.

What you'll receive

  • A same-day reminder in the morning.
  • Reminders 30 minutes and 10 minutes before the session. These are skipped once you've already joined.
  • A nudge if your booking is still pending, waiting for your therapist to accept.
  • A nudge the day after the session asking you to rate it.

Reminders respect your notification settings, so a type you've switched off won't arrive.

If you didn't get a reminder

  1. Check the booking status. Session reminders only go out once your therapist has accepted; a pending booking gets the pending nudge instead. See appointment statuses explained.
  2. In the app, open Settings → Notifications and make sure appointment reminders are on.
  3. Allow notifications for Mytherapist.ng in your phone settings, then log out and log back in. See I'm not getting notifications.
  4. Check your email, including spam. Reminders go there too.

Reminders are a backstop, not the only way to know. Your upcoming session is always on the Home screen under "Happening Next".
